Entries

We love big boats, and we cannot lie! So that's why we like this event with its mostly larger, stable sliding-seat boats and the fixed-seat skiffs and other coastal boats.  But anything capable of dealing with slightly rougher water, with two oars or more and coxed can take part. And we love adding colour to our event so get planning fancy dress now!  The theme is Puffing Billy - steam railways on Tyneside since the early 1800s.

Entries open on 28 June 26 at 6.00pm and close on 16 Aug 26 at noon

How to enter

Entries for the Great Tyne Row 2026 will open at 6.00pm on Sunday 28 June 2026. You can then go to the Google form accessible via the green button below. But email us now if minded to enter to help our forward planning.

This link to the entry form will be operational from opening of entries. Entries will close on 16 August 2026 at noon, though may be suspended earlier if we are full.

An invoice with bank details will be emailed to you on receipt of your entry. Payment should then be made by online transfer as soon as possible and absolutely no later than close of entries.

Full crews are not needed at the time of entering but must be filled in by the close of entries. If you put in names straight away you can still substitute 100% of them (and your boat type) up until the close of entries. After that you can substitute 50% of a crew only.

Entries are £30 per rowing seat (i.e. not including the cox). Contact us if meeting the cost is a difficulty. We will invoice you for the necessary sum when you enter and early payment would be appreciated.
