A fun row taking you along 25km of the historic River Tyne!

The Great Tyne Row is a 25km event with a difference, We believe rowing is fun and we want you to enjoy the River Tyne with us. We start at Newburn to the west of Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead and row down the historic river through the central quayside to the sea at Tynemouth! This is a unique opportunity to row down parts of the Tyne not normally accessible. We hope you will join in with us. If not rowing, do come and see us passing at Newcastle / Gateshead Quayside from about 1.00pm or on the beach at Tynemouth Haven from about 2.30pm. Cres and Boats will be in fancy dress - theme the coronation.

 

The 2023 Great Tyne Row will start shortly after noon on Saturday 26 August 2023.
